The Egyptian President; Morsy reaffirms his commitment to good governance as protests spread.

Protesters in Egypt stormed the party headquarter of the incumbent president; Mohammed Morsy for what they saw as undemocratic power grab by the president.
The president recently assigned more powers to himself, issued an order against any court overturning his decisions. In a swift reaction to the protests, he reassured the Egyptians that the step he has taken is in the interest of the nation. "I have dedicated myself and my life to democracy and freedom, the steps I took are meant to achieve political and social stability" Morsy told his supporters in Cairo. Read More
